Walk the ancient trails of the Malësorë

For centuries, the seasonal movement of Malësorë shepherds has shaped Kelmend and protected its rich biodiversity. On this full-day hiking tour, your guide Fonsi will take you beyond the marked trails of Lëpushë and into a living landscape that’s been cared for by shepherds for generations.

🗓 Itinerary

Morning Departure from Qafë Perdolec
We’ll meet at Qafë Perdolec in the morning (9am) and set off into the wild. The trails are peaceful, the views are breathtaking, and the pace is set by you. You’ll pass shepherd summer homes, meet locals along the way, and may even get a taste of fresh milk or cheese straight from the flock.‍

Tailored to Your Level
Our hikes range from 4 to 8 hours and are always adapted to your experience and preferences. Some of our favourite routes include:

• Maja e Vajushës Loop‍
  
  • Advanced, 7-9 hour return hike with breaks ‍
• Maja e Berizhdolit Loop
  • Intermediate, 5-6 hour return hike with breaks ‍
• ‍ Maja e Grebenit Loop
  
  • Intermediate, 4-5 hour return hike with breaks
• Kopprisht Loop
  
  • Beginner, 2-4 hour return hike with breaks (suitable for families, especially with younger children)

Optional: Horseback Trekking
Our trails vary between 5 and 15km, reaching elevations of almost 2000m. At times, the climb up to viewpoints can be steep. Prefer to explore on horseback? We can also guide you through these trails in the saddle for an additional 5000LEK / €55 per person, per horse.

Return Before Dark
We’ll wrap up the hike and bring you back to Qafë Perdolec by late afternoon, usually around 4 or 5 PM.
